Your table stays in this browser. No AI account is needed to make a chart.

Start with an Excel template

Fill it yourself, or use the instructions below with your own AI. Then upload the finished file.

Choose the suggested chart in Make. World Bank examples use the verified 2000–2023 snapshot; they are not live data. Fictional examples teach the file format.

Flags included. Your icons welcome. For countries, use an ISO3 code such as USA, KOR or JPN in item_id and leave logo_url blank. For your own icon, paste a direct HTTPS image URL into logo_url. It will appear in the chart.

How to fill the template · copy instructions for your AI
  1. Keep the DATA headers. Add one row per item and period, with numeric values. Keep the same unit throughout.
  2. Use years, months, quarters or ISO dates. Leave missing values blank; enter 0 only for a real zero.
  3. Add data and image sources in Sources. Save as .xlsx, upload it above, then choose Make a chart. If several source URLs are found, choose the data source to display. Check the title, unit and source name in Make.

Use the image file address, not a webpage or an Excel IMAGE() formula. Image hosts must allow access for exports. If a host blocks your image, upload it in Make → Chart → item images.

These instructions are prepared in your browser. Chartlapse does not call an AI.
